CAREER RESOURCES

Prepare with
confidence.

A little preparation can make a meaningful difference. Explore practical guidance for presenting your experience and showing up as yourself in interviews.

Build a résumé that tells your story

Start with your impact. Lead with a concise summary tailored to the position, then highlight accomplishments rather than only listing duties.

  • Use clear headings and reverse-chronological work experience.
  • Show measurable results when accurate: scope, outcomes, time saved, revenue influenced, or improvements made.
  • Match relevant skills and terminology from the job description without copying claims you cannot support.
  • Keep formatting simple and proofread dates, titles, and contact information.
Prepare for your interview

Know your story and the opportunity. Review the role requirements and prepare a few examples that show how you've handled similar challenges.

  • Practice a clear, two-minute introduction about your background.
  • Use the STAR approach: Situation, Task, Action, Result.
  • Prepare thoughtful questions about expectations, the team, and success in the role.
  • For video interviews, test your connection, camera, and audio ahead of time.
Make a strong impression

Be prepared, specific, and genuine. Listen carefully, answer the question asked, and connect your examples to the needs of the position.

  • Explain your individual contribution and what you learned.
  • Be candid about experience gaps and how you approach learning.
  • Take notes and ask about the next steps in the process.
  • Send a brief thank-you message when appropriate.
Questions worth asking

Use the conversation to evaluate whether the opportunity is right for you, too.

  • What would success look like in the first 90 days?
  • What challenges will this person help solve?
  • How does the team collaborate and share feedback?
  • What are the next steps and expected timeline?

These resources are general guidance; tailor your approach to the role and your experience.
